Toxicity: The acute oral LD50 of rats is about 1000-5900 mg/kg. Rabbit acute percutaneous LD50>5000 mg / kg. Long-term exposure has moderate irritation to rabbit skin and strong irritation to rabbit eyes. Acute inhalation LC50 (1 hour) > 2000 ppm. Fish poison LC50 (96 hours): Rainbow trout 57 mg active ingredient / liter, blue carp 82 mg active ingredient / liter, squid (48 hours) 590 mg / liter, leeches (48 hours) 360 mg / liter. Non-toxic to bees at recommended doses
Uses: A plant growth regulator with auxin activity, which is absorbed by roots, stems and leaves. Naphthaleneacetic acid is widely used in agriculture, forestry, vegetables, flowers, fruit trees and other fields to induce the formation of adventitious roots, improve the survival rate of tree cuttings, increase the fruit setting rate, and prevent fruit drop before harvest.
